Versions of MAP
There are two versions for the MAP Video Assessment as defined by the questions. Both versions use the identical video stream. The Form-S was created in response to requests for a shorter version of the assessment and is derived from the original version.
Original MAP
Total assessment time: 6-7 hours
Number of questions: 764 Response Items (191 Statements with 4 questions each)
Video Stream: 10 Episodes VHS, DVD (identical episodes as MAP Form-S)
Delivery – Classroom facilitated format only (Video, DVD)
Facilitator Instructor Guide and PowerPoint Slideshow
Strengths: Extensive Database, Quantity of response items per competency
MAP Form-S
Total Assessment time: 4 hours approx
Number of Questions: 264 True False Questions
Video Stream: 10 Episodes VHS, DVD (identical episodes as MAP Original Version)
Delivery – Classroom facilitated (VHS, DVD), or Online CD driven.
Strengths: Less time consuming, Available online or in Classroom Format
